Refund Policy

1. Bookings & Cancellations

• Notice Period: Lessons must be booked, moved, or canceled with at least 48 hours' notice.

• Late Cancellations: If the pupil cancels with less than 48 hours' notice, the full lesson fee will be charged.

• Lateness: If the pupil is late, the lesson will still end at the scheduled time. If the instructor is late, that lost time will be added to a future lesson or refunded. 

 

2. Payments & Refunds

• Payment Terms: All lessons or block bookings must be paid for in advance or at the start of the lesson via cash or bank transfer.

• Refund Policy: Block-booked lessons are non-refundable once started, except in extenuating circumstances. Any refunds issued will be subject to standard single-lesson rates rather than the discounted block rate. 

 

3. Driving Tests

• Booking: The practical driving test must be booked with the instructor's prior agreement to ensure the pupil is at the required standard. 

• Test Day: The instructor reserves the right to withhold the use of their vehicle for the practical test if they believe the pupil's driving is unsafe or below standard.

• Car Hire: The fee for the use of the car on the day of the test is 150 pounds.

 

4. Instructor Obligations

• Legal Requirements: The instructor guarantees their car is taxed, fully insured for driving tuition, and fitted with dual controls.

• Code of Conduct: The instructor will behave professionally, arrive punctually, and maintain a smoke-free and phone-free environment during lessons.

 

5. Pupil Obligations & Fitness to Drive

• Licence: The pupil must hold a valid, current provisional driving licence and present it to the instructor on their first lesson.

• Fitness: The pupil must inform the instructor of any medical conditions or medications that may affect their ability to drive safely.

• Termination: The instructor reserves the right to terminate a lesson immediately if the pupil arrives under the influence of alcohol/drugs, or is too tired/ill to drive safely.
